Sourcing

Every substantive claim carries a source, and the source says what kind of source it is. Where two reputable sources disagree, both are published and neither is chosen. Where nothing could be verified, the page says so rather than quietly omitting the gap. Three websites that rank highly for Jain festival and ritual searches are AI-generated content farms; nothing on this site is taken from them.

Images

Every photograph on this site is freely licensed and credited on the credits page with its author and licence. We do not use images of people without consent, and we do not use an image of a murti in any way that treats it as decoration.

Religious material

Verses, mantras and ritual texts are reproduced as their source gives them, in the original script, with transliteration and meaning alongside. Where different traditions have different wordings, the variants are shown as variants and never merged into a single text nobody actually uses. Nothing on this site should be treated as a ruling: for observance, follow your own sangh, temple or acharya.
