What Jain Waves is

Jain Waves is a free, trilingual platform that collects the practical information a Jain community keeps in its own head and nowhere else: where the derasars and sthanaks are and when they open, where a sadhu or sadhvi is currently staying, where to find pure Jain food and a dharamshala at a tirth, who holds which post at a sangh, and what the panchang says.

It is built on a single principle that shows up on almost every page: it would rather say "we do not know" than guess. Where a source could not be verified, the page says so. Where two Jain traditions keep different days, both are printed rather than one. Where a number came from a community directory instead of from the institution, the page labels it. That restraint is the product.

It is pan-Jain by construction. Digambar and Shwetambar — Murtipujak, Sthanakavasi and Terapanth — are treated as equals everywhere, and no tradition is the default. Where they differ on a date, a rite or a text, the difference is stated as a difference rather than resolved in favour of the larger group.
