JITO Administrative Training Foundation

JATF

JITO's education arm, and the one door in the whole of this directory that is unambiguously open and answering. It runs four named programmes — PACE for the UPSC civil services, JATF IIT for the engineering entrances, a Judiciary Services track, and Esvadhyay, an e-learning platform — at six residential centres in Delhi, Indore, Kota, Pune, Jaipur and Bengaluru. Selection into all of them is by a Common Entrance Test. It also runs the JITO Education Loan Programme, which reimburses interest on a bank education loan.

Live, and the four programmes are named on it — but the eligibility rules, the fees, the CET dates and the application window are published nowhere on the public site. The homepage's "Register for CET-2026", "Register for Judiciary" and "Register for IIT/JEE" buttons do not lead anywhere; the flow sits behind a login. Shri Mahavira Jaina Vidyalaya

SMJVFounded 1915

Founded in 1915 at the instance of Acharya Shri Vijay Vallabhsuriswarji Maharaj Saheb, and now the largest Jain student-housing network in the country: vidyarthigrihas in eight cities, and interest-free loan scholarships under three named schemes, including one specifically for girls reading for Chartered Accountancy. Its own published record is more than 2,300 students supported and over ₹35 crore disbursed, against demand it says runs at roughly ten times that.

The head-office site is live and current — the trust-seats document is for 2026-27. Two things to know. The Pune branch's own site, smjvpune.com, returns a 500 error, so use the head-office Pune page instead. And the financial-aid application portal runs on a bare IP address over plain HTTP rather than HTTPS; that is the trust's own real portal, but treat it as you would any unencrypted page, and remember that jainwaves.com will never ask you for those credentials.

Jain Social Group EduCon

JSG EduConFounded 2012

JSGIF's actual education arm, and the entry a family looking for help from the JSG world should be pointed at rather than the federation. Launched in April 2012 by JSG Pimpri Chinchwad and registered as a public charitable trust in 2015, it part-funds college fees, hostel, coaching, entrance fees and books, and adds mentoring, guidance and student-to-student networking on top. Donors receive "Educon Cards" carrying the student's details, and donor-to-student contact is encouraged rather than mediated away.

You do not apply to EduCon yourself. A recommender sends the student's brief details and then completes the recommendation form — the process is referral-based by design, and it is rolling, with no deadline published. Their contact page also lists individuals' personal mobile numbers; we link the page rather than republishing those.

Jain Vishva Bharati, Ladnun

JVB

The Terapanth institution at Ladnun that runs schools and Jain Vishva Bharati Institute, a deemed university, along with the free Sambodhi e-library. The Institute offers merit-cum-need scholarships and fee exemption to its own enrolled students and helps SC, ST and OBC students reach state welfare scholarships. The parent body runs no scholarship scheme of its own.

Both sites are live. The only official document we could find setting out the Institute's scholarship terms is the 2020-21 prospectus, five years old, so we quote no amounts — confirm at admission.

The Jain Education Society

Founded 1943

A Mumbai trust founded in 1943 by Sthanakvasi Jains, running a hostel and an interest-free freeship loan — half or full freeship, repayable on an undertaking. One timing rule matters more than anything else about it: existing students must reapply every year by 31 May, because there is no automatic renewal.

KDO Education (Kutchi Dasha Oswal trusts)

Founded 1903

The education wing of the Kutchi Dasha Oswal trusts in Mumbai, and one of the few bodies anywhere in this directory that provides something outright free rather than as a loan: its boys' hostel, running since 1903, gives lodging, boarding, clothing, books and fees at no cost to KDO students from Std 5 through college. There is a girls' hostel at Ghatkopar East, and the Kelavani Utkarsh Trust supports school fees from nursery to Std 10 — ₹64,12,423 to 272 students in 2024-25.

Maharashtra Jain Education Society

Founded 1949

The Pune society behind Firodia Hostel, which is the single best-documented Jain hostel found anywhere in this research and the only one in the whole directory that publishes its fees. The campus carries Sanmati Teerth; the food is pure vegetarian with Paryushan chauviar meals; rooms run from two-seaters to twelve, and there is an AC partitioned dormitory.

Jains India Trust

JIT

A Chennai trust founded by Shri N. Sugalchand Jain, with a published record of ₹14.42 crore to 11,700 students to October 2023. Its need-based scholarship covers tuition, admission, books and uniform, and it records the applicant's sect — Sthanakvasi, Mandirmargi, Terapanthi, Digambar or other — without restricting on it, which makes it one of the genuinely pan-sect entries in this directory.

Live, but the cycle on it is stale: the only application form published is for AY 2024-25 with a last date of 31 October 2024, and no 2025-26 or 2026-27 form has appeared. Telephone before relying on anything the site says about dates.

Jain Education and Empowerment Trust

JEET

A Mumbai trust working with sadharmik Jain families, with a rural focus and a Shwetambar Murtipujak lineage. Its published offer is school fees to Class XII, an interest-free loan after Class XII with a three-year moratorium, help with gurukul and boarding admission, negotiated fee discounts at Jain-managed colleges, and guidance on minority-quota admissions.

We are not linking jeetindia.org because it returns a 500 error — the server answers and then fails, on both www and bare, and on the educational-assistance page as well as the homepage. In the phase-08 research the same site was reachable but published no form, no amounts and no deadlines. Telephone or email instead; we have kept the trust listed because the work is real, and taken the link away because the link is not.

Sheth Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi

AK Pedhi

The institution that represents the Shwetambar Jain sanghs of India in the management of their greatest tirths. It administers Shatrunjaya at Palitana and Girnar at Junagadh, together with Ranakpur, Muchhala Mahavir, Kumbhariaji, Taranga, Sherisa, Vamaj and Makshiji — and, beyond the tirths, a large number of derasars and institutions, the Chhapariyali panjrapol, and the Shrut Anand Trust. The name is not a person's: anand and kalyan, joy and welfare, were joined because that is what the sangh's work was meant to be. The Palitana account books carry the name from V.S. 1787.

★ This corrects what this site said before. Our tirth pages have carried the Anandji Kalyanji Pedhi as an institution with no website, on the basis that the only contacts findable for it were aggregator listings. It has one — anandjikalyanjipedhi.org, in Gujarati and Hindi, with the four office addresses below, a page for each tirth it manages, and an About page timestamped August 2026. It was found by re-running the domain check rather than by trusting the earlier note.

Seth Kalyanji Parmanandji Pedhi, Sirohi

A different pedhi from the Anandji Kalyanji, and the two are confused constantly — this site made exactly that mistake and had to correct it. This is the Sirohi trust, which manages the Dilwara temples at Mount Abu and describes itself on its own site as the second-largest Jain trust after the Anandji Kalyanji Trust. It is the body to contact about temple booking at Dilwara.
