The rules are here before the feed is
Awaz is an app feature and it has not launched. We are publishing the moderation model now, before anyone has posted anything, because a feed that writes its rules after the first argument is a feed whose rules are about that argument.
What gets removed
- Anything attacking another tradition. Digambar, Shwetambar, Murtipujak, Sthanakavasi, Terapanth — this platform treats them as equals and will not host an argument about which is correct.
- Political campaigning, of any party. A community feed becomes a party feed in one election cycle and never recovers.
- Somebody else’s personal information — a phone number, an address, a photograph of a person — posted without their agreement.
- Business promotion in a community group, fundraising appeals we cannot verify, and forwarded messages with no traceable source.
How to report something
Every post will carry a report control, and a report goes to the moderators of that group and to us. If you cannot reach a moderator, or you disagree with what a moderator did, the Grievance Officer is named on this site with an address and a stated timeline — that route exists precisely for when the ordinary route has failed you.
