Ellora Jain Caves
Also known as: Indra Sabha · Jagannath Sabha · Caves 30–34
The Jain group at Ellora — caves 30 to 34, of which the Indra Sabha is the finest — is the last phase of work at a site the ASI protects and UNESCO lists as World Heritage. They are ninth and tenth century, cut when the Rashtrakutas held this country, and they are quieter than the Kailasa temple next door by a very wide margin.

An ASI-ticketed monument with published opening days and hours — it is closed one day a week, so check before you travel. The Jain caves are at the far end of the site from the main entrance; allow for the walk or take the shuttle.
