Deogarh

A fort hill above the Betwa carrying a very large group of Jain temples and several thousand sculptures and inscriptions, built between the eighth and seventeenth centuries. It is one of the richest Jain archaeological sites in north India and almost nobody goes there, which means you can usually have it to yourself.

The climb, and what to expect
ASI-protected, reached by road from Lalitpur with a short climb to the fort. There is little on site — carry water and plan to be self-sufficient.
